Pro Tips For Making This Recipe

  1. Bread matters: A hearty sourdough or rustic loaf works best for that perfect crunch.
  2. Crispy bacon is key: Cook it to your liking, but extra crispy adds the best texture.
  3. Apple choice: Go for a tart variety like Granny Smith to balance the richness of the Brie.
  4. Don’t skip the butter: It’s what gives that golden, crunchy crust we all love.
  5. Panini press alternative: No press? Use a skillet and weigh the sandwich down with another pan for the same effect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different cheese?

Sure thing! Camembert or even a mild cheddar works, but Brie gives that creamy texture.

What if I don't have a panini press?

A regular skillet with a heavy pan on top works just fine, just flip halfway through.

Can I make this ahead?

It's best fresh, but you can prep the ingredients and assemble right before grilling.
