Orange Slice Cookies

Hey, y'all! I grew up eating my Auntie JJ's Orange Slice Cookies. They were one of her specialities. Each time I sink my teeth into one, I think about her and what a wonderful cook she was. I hope you all enjoy this family recipe as much as I cherish it!

Pro Tips For Making This Recipe

  1. Flour your knife before cutting orange slice candy to prevent sticking and ensure smooth, even slices for your cookies.
  2. To ensure evenly sized cookies, use a cookie scoop to portion out the dough onto the baking sheet.
  3. Keep an eye on the cookies while baking; they're ready when the edges turn golden brown, typically around 8-10 minutes.
  4. Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
