Ingredients

  • 1 boz Jiffy yellow cake mix 9 oz.
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. chopped pecans toasted
  • 1 c. orange slice candy chopped
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Stir together all ingredients until well—blended.
  • Using a cookie scoop, scoop even amounts of dough onto a parchment-paper lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool and enjoy!

Notes

  • Flour your knife before cutting orange slice candy to prevent sticking and ensure smooth, even slices for your cookies.
  • To ensure evenly sized cookies, use a cookie scoop to portion out the dough onto the baking sheet.
  • Keep an eye on the cookies while baking; they're ready when the edges turn golden brown, typically around 8-10 minutes.
  • Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
