Pro Tips For Making This Recipe
- Adding sugar to this recipe seems odd, but is necessary - it won't make the macaroni and tomatoes sweet, but it will cut the acidity of the tomatoes.
- If you do not have Tony Chachere's, any cajun/creole seasoning will work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should the macaroni be cooked to al dente?
The macaroni will be placed over heat again after the original cooking time; as such, cooking to al dente helps ensure that you don't overcook the noodles.
