Pro Tips For Making This Recipe

  1. Use a dry red wine with good acidity, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, or Zinfandel, for the best flavor profile in your mulled wine.
  2. Don't have orange liqueur on hand? You can substitute it with orange juice to maintain the citrus profile, or brandy for a delicious kick!
  3. If you want a stronger orange flavor, add additional orange liqueur or a hearty splash of fresh orange juice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I simmer the mulled wine for optimal flavor?

Can I make mulled wine in advance?

Yes, you can prepare the mulled wine ahead of time and reheat it when ready to serve. Store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container, and gently reheat it on the stove before serving.
