Rotel Sausage Balls Ingredients

  • 1 lb. breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 10 oz. Rotel, drained onto paper towels to remove the moisture
  • 1.5 c. Bisquick
  • 2 c. shredded cheese

How to Make Rotel Sausage Balls

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the sausage, cream cheese, Rotel, Bisquick, and shredded cheese until well combined.
  3. Use a 1.5-inch cookie scoop to scoop out the mixture and gently roll it into a ball.
  4. Place them 2 inches apart on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes and use a thermometer to check that the largest one is 165 degrees internally.

Pro Tips For Making This Recipe

  1. Drain the Rotel well to prevent excess moisture from making the mixture too soft.
  2. Use a cookie scoop to keep the sausage balls uniform so they bake evenly.
  3. Check the temperature and make sure the largest sausage ball reaches 165 degrees internally.
  4. Mix thoroughly, as softened cream cheese blends much more easily.
  5. Leave space on the pan to help the sausage balls brown nicely.
