Frequently Asked Questions

What's the key to this recipe?

Use the leanest ground beef that you can find. This meat mixture will have more liquid than typical due to the salsa. Having less grease/fat from the beef will help immensely!

There's too much liquid in the taco meat. What can I do?

Simply drain and/or scoop out the excess liquid. This will help the flavor still be locked in -- don't rinse!

How long should I cook taco meat in a crockpot?

If you're cooking on high, cook for roughly 3 hours; on low, cook your taco meat for 6 hours.
