Chunky Guacamole

Hey, y'all. My love affair with guacamole is rooted in my love of Mexican food. I can, quite literally, eat an entire bowl of it. When I was an undergraduate at Centre College, my favorite snack to keep in my dorm refrigerator = the guacamole from Whole Foods Market. And while I will occasionally purchase food out of convenience, there is no need to purchase guacamole (plus, it's expensive). Why? This recipe is more economical, is simple, and is - to understate - delicious. I know y'all are going to love the Best Chunky Guacamole Recipe!

Should I mash the avocados?

When making it, I recommend "cutting" it with a couple of forks or a fork and a knife. I prefer this method of mixing, as opposed to mashing; I like guacamole chunky + I always want to see the ingredients that are in my dishes.

Hey, y’all! I’m Dr. JC Phelps, though most folks on the internet know me as JCP Eats. I’m a proud Kentuckian, a fiercely loyal Southerner, and quite possibly the biggest mayonnaise fan below the Mason-Dixon Line. I started JCP Eats as a place to share the recipes, traditions, and flavors I grew up with, along with the dishes that have found a permanent place at my table. I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome to my Kentucky kitchen!
