- 4 avocados ripe
- 1 medium tomato finely diced
- ⅔ cup finely diced red onion
- ⅛ cup fresh lime juice
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 2 tablespoons diced pickled jalapeños
- Tabasco sauce to taste (about 12 dashes)
- Kosher salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a large mixing bowl.
Add the diced tomato, red onion, lime juice, minced garlic, pickled jalapeños, Tabasco sauce, kosher salt, and black pepper.
Using two forks or a fork and knife, gently mash and chop the mixture until everything is well combined, leaving plenty of chunky avocado pieces.
Taste and adjust the salt, pepper, lime juice, or Tabasco as needed.
Serve immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, burritos, or your favorite Mexican dishes.
- Use ripe avocados that give slightly when gently squeezed for the creamiest texture.
- Fold the ingredients together gently to keep the guacamole chunky.
- Add the lime juice as soon as the avocados are cut to help slow browning.
- For extra heat, stir in fresh jalapeños or add a few more dashes of Tabasco.
- Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating to help keep the guacamole green.
