Hey, y’all! It’s Derby Season — and as we are entering the final stretch, I’m excited to share several recipes here on the blog for you to enjoy at your Kentucky Derby Party! To kick things off this week, I’m going to be sharing cocktails that will be perfect accompaniments to your 2021 Derby Experience. All are tried and true Kentucky drinks and are simply delicious! Today I’m sharing one of the easiest southern cocktails: a Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail! If you love sweet tea, like we all do down here in the South, this is the drink for you!

Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail: Kentucky Derby Party Cocktails
JC's note: you can absolutely make your own sweet tea for this. In my family, in true deep-south fashion, we make sweet tea syrup. That said, if you plan to pre-purchase sweet tea, buy a nice quality one (such as Milo's). If you only have unsweetened tea in the house, I'd recommend using simple syrup and sweetening it to your taste preference.
I designed this recipe to be a large-batch cocktail; it's perfect to serve at parties or in a pitcher while you are out enjoying the company of loved ones. That said, you can certainly scale it down if need be!

Does it get more southern than that? There is no better cocktail for those us of south of the Mason-Dixon line. So easy and so refreshing, y’all — I know all at your Kentucky Derby Party will love this Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail + you will enjoy it all summer long!
