Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail

Hey, y’all! It doesn't get much more Kentucky than a Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail. This is a southern drink fit to be sipped on the porch all summer long!

If you love sweet tea, like we all do down here in the South, this is the drink for you!

Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail Ingredients

  • 8 c. Good-Quality Sweet Tea
  • 1 c. Kentucky Bourbon
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • Ice
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • Mint, for garnish

How to Make a Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail

  1. Add sweet tea, the juice of 1 lemon, and Kentucky Bourbon to a large pitcher; stir well. Store in the refrigerator.
  2. Pour Bourbon Sweet Tea over ice and top off the cocktail with fresh blackberries and blueberries. Garnish with a lemon slice and fresh mint.
  3. Sip and enjoy!

Pro Tips For Making This Recipe

1. I designed this recipe to be a large-batch cocktail; it's perfect to serve at parties or in a pitcher while you are out enjoying the company of loved ones. That said, you can certainly scale it down if need be!

2. You can absolutely make your own sweet tea for this. In my family, in true deep-south fashion, we make sweet tea syrup. That said, if you plan to pre-purchase sweet tea, buy a nice quality one (such as Milo's). If you only have unsweetened tea in the house, I'd recommend using simple syrup and sweetening it to your taste preference.
