Duke's Mayonnaise Pimento Cheese

Hey, y'all! There are southern foods - and then there's pimento cheese. It's the caviar of the south, a childhood favorite, and a modern-day comfort food. While there are many varieties (and they are all valid and delicious!), there's one ingredient that is a non-negotiable by my standard: Duke's Mayonnaise. My friends at Duke's kindly shared their recipe with me and I'm excited to share it with y'all today. I know y'all are going to love this Duke's Mayonnaise Pimento Cheese!

About Duke's Mayonnaise

Duke's is, hands down, the mayonnaise of the American South. It's the most commonly used ingredient in my kitchen and I always have a jar - or four - on deck. The southern legacy of Duke's goes back to Camp Sevier in 1917 and Eugenia Duke (Greenville, SC). Her sandwiches that were sold to army canteens during WWI were so legendary that army vets wrote to Eugenia years later begging for her sandwich recipes and jars of her delectable spread. Because of this, she began bottling it as a product on its own in 1923. Duke's is readily available in supermarkets around the US; you can also order online here.

There are many varieties of pimento cheese in the south, though one ingredient should remain constant: Duke's Mayonnaise!

Dukes Mayo does not have to advertise how good it is bc if you ever just taste Dukes you will know it is the best as Duke says smooth and creamy - I love this Mayo for everything
