- 16 oz. box of jumbo shells
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1.25 oz. taco seasoning
- 16 oz. jar of thick and chunky salsa
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1.5 c. Mexican-style shredded cheese
- Green onion, diced tomatoes, sour cream for topping
Cook jumbo shells according to package instructions, then set them aside.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Stir in Taco Seasoning until thoroughly combined.
Add salsa, sour cream, and half of the Mexican-style cheese, mixing well.
Preheat oven to 350F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Stuff the cooked shells with the beef mixture and arrange them in the baking dish.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the stuffed shells.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve hot and enjoy!
- Cook the jumbo shells just until they are al dente to prevent them from becoming too soft during baking.
- Allow the baked shells to rest for a few minutes before serving to set and make them easier to handle.
- For a richer filling, mix a small amount of cream cheese into the beef mixture along with the sour cream.
