Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. instant oats
  • 1 c. sliced almonds
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • ¾ c. unsalted butter melted
  • ½ c. brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 ¾ c. fresh strawberries trimmed and chopped
  • 1.5 c. strawberry jam

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper; spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together flour, oats, almonds, and baking soda. Add melted butter, brown sugar, and salt, stirring until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Mix together the strawberry jam and fresh strawberries. Spread evenly over the crust. Sprinkle remaining crumble mixture on top.
  • Bake until golden brown and bubbly, roughly 55 min – 1 hr. Let cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour before slicing. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Press the crust firmly into the pan to ensure it holds together well after baking.
  • Line the parchment paper with an overhang on the sides for easy removal of the bars from the pan.
  • Let the bars cool completely before refrigerating to prevent condensation from making the crust soggy.
