Equipment

  • Food Processor

Ingredients

  • 4 c. pretzels
  • ¾ c. peanut butter plus 3 tbsp., divided
  • 6 tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 6 oz. chocolate

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Add pretzels, ¾ cup peanut butter, and powdered sugar into bowl of food processor.  Blend until dough comes together.
  • Portion out 1 tablespoon of dough.  Press, form, and roll into ball.  Place balls onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Heat chocolate in microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds.  Stir, then continue heating 10-15 seconds or more until smooth.
  • Using 2 forks, place ball into chocolate, flipping to coat.  Allow excess chocolate to drip off through the fork.  Place back onto prepared baking sheet.  Continue with remaining balls.
  • Heat 3 tablespoons of peanut butter in microwave for about 20 seconds.  Peanut butter should be smooth, but not completely melted or liquid.  Place into one corner of ziptop-style bag.  Cut the very tip of corner, just enough to pipe peanut butter through.  Pipe each ball with peanut butter.  Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you don’t have a food processor, place pretzels in large ziptop-style bag and crush with rolling pin or bottom of measuring cup.  Mix together until uniformly combined.
  • You can substitute chocolate chips or wafers, just follow melting instructions.  You might need to add a small amount of vegetable oil to get the right consistency.
  • Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
