Notes

Don’t have a fancy espresso machine? No problem!  Brew strong coffee in a traditional coffee pot. Use 4 tablespoons of ground coffee to 4 oz of water to make comparable espresso shot.
Instant coffee can be used as well.  Following package directions, add the amount of instant coffee needed for an 8-ounce cup to a mug.  Instead of adding 8 ounces of hot water, only add 4 oz. (half a cup) to make a shot of strong coffee.
Milk alternatives can be used in place of regular milk.  Almond, oat, and soy milk will all perform well in this drink.
