Heat milk in the microwave for 30 seconds on high, or heat in small saucepan over medium heat till steamy, but not boiling.
Brew coffee and combine with maple syrup in coffee mug. Stir together or froth until combined.
Froth warm milk until almost doubled in volume, pour into mug with coffee/syrup mixture, and top with cinnamon. Stir gently to combine.
Top with whipped cream, a dash of nutmeg, and additional cinnamon if desired. Enjoy!

Don’t have a fancy espresso machine? No problem! Brew strong coffee in a traditional coffee pot. Use 4 tablespoons of ground coffee to 4 oz of water to make comparable espresso shot.Instant coffee can be used as well. Following package directions, add the amount of instant coffee needed for an 8-ounce cup to a mug. Instead of adding 8 ounces of hot water, only add 4 oz. (half a cup) to make a shot of strong coffee.Milk alternatives can be used in place of regular milk. Almond, oat, and soy milk will all perform well in this drink.
