Ingredients

  • 1 lb. medium shrimp
  • ½ c. butter
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ c. dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ c. chopped fresh parsley
  • 8 oz. linguine cooked

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 5 minutes or until soft.
  • Add shrimp and cook over medium heat until shrimp turn pink, about 4 minutes. Add wine, parsley, and lemon juice. Simmer for about 2 minutes.
  • Add cooked linguine and toss until pasta is covered in sauce.

Notes

  1. Don’t overcook the garlic and keep the heat moderate so it softens without burning.
  2. Use a dry white wine to add depth of flavor, though broth works well if you prefer an alcohol-free option.
  3. Cook the shrimp just until pink since overcooking can make them rubbery.
  4. Toss the pasta in the skillet so the noodles soak up the buttery, lemony sauce.
  5. Finish with extra parsley to add freshness and color.
