Ingredients

  • 1 c. crumbled goat cheese
  • ½ c. sour cream
  • ¼ c. cream cheese
  • ½ c. fig spread or fig jam
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • ½ tsp. fresh thyme
  • Sliced almonds for topping

Instructions

  • In a bowl, beat goat cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, honey, and thyme until smooth. You can also use a food processor.
  • Spread goat cheese mixture into your preferred serving dish.
  • Add fig spread or fig jam on top of the goat cheese spread. Top with sliced almonds and additional thyme, if desired.
  • Refrigerate until serving. Serve with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

  • Using a pre-made fig jam or fig spread makes this recipe come together in moments!
  • Allow the goat cheese, sour cream, and cream cheese to come to room temperature before mixing. This ensures a smoother and creamier texture in the final spread.
  • When spreading the mixture in your serving dish, create distinct layers for visual appeal. Start with the goat cheese mixture, then add the fig spread, and finish with a neat layer of sliced almonds.
  • Refrigerate the spread for at least an hour before serving. This not only helps the flavors meld together but also gives the spread a firmer consistency, making it easier to scoop onto crackers or baguette slices.
