- 1 lb. ground turkey
- ¼ c. chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp. minced garlic
- ¼ c. red onion finely diced
- ¼ c. shredded parmesan
- ½ c. Italian breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- toppings of choice
- hamburger buns
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, parsley, garlic, onion, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, and salt.
Mix until well combined, then form the mixture into patties.
Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Place the cooked patties on buns and dress with your choice of toppings.
Serve immediately.
- Don't overmix; simply combine the ingredients until just mixed to avoid dense, tough patties.
- After forming the patties, you can refrigerate them for 15-20 minutes. This helps them hold their shape better during cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the patties reaches 165°F for safe consumption.
