Ingredients

  • ½ c. Duke’s mayonnaise
  • c. sour cream
  • 1.5 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 c. Gala Apples chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 c. seedless red grapes halved
  • ½ c. celery diced
  • ½ c. dried cranberries
  • ½ c. toasted walnuts roughly chopped

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together Duke’s mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir in chopped apples, grapes, celery, and dried cranberries.
  • Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Remove from the refrigerator, stir in walnuts, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Taste the dressing before adding it to the salad. Adjust the amount of lemon juice and sugar to achieve the perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness.
  • Allowing the salad to chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours allows the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the Waldorf salad in a chilled bowl or on a bed of lettuce leaves for an elegant presentation.
