Equipment

  • 11x13" pan
  • Food Processor for the sauce

Ingredients

For the sliders:

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 package King's Hawaiian Slider Buns I buy the savory butter rolls
  • 6-8 slices American cheese
  • Sliced Dill Pickles for topping
  • chopped onions for topping
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • sesame seeds for topping
  • kosher salt
  • black pepper
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder

For the Homemade Big Mac Sauce

  • 1 c. Duke's Mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp. sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. white vinegar
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef with kosher salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Adjust the seasoning to your liking. Mix until well-combined; I like to use my hands.
  • In a 11x13" pan, press your ground beef into a flat, even layer. It should cover the entire pan. While this looks large, do note that the beef will shrink in the oven.
  • Bake for roughly 25 minutes or until the internal temperature has reached 165F.
  • While the beef is baking, make the homemade Big Mac sauce. Simply add all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until fully combined. Store in the refrigerator until you are ready to use.
  • Remove ground beef from oven and remove it from the pan. Blot excess grease.
  • Slice King's Hawaiian slider rolls in half. Keep the rolls in one piece for layering/baking. Spread a layer of sauce on the bottom of the buns. Place ground beef on top of the sauce (note: you might have to trim it to fit the bun perfectly). Fully cover the beef with sliced American cheese. Top with pickles and chopped onion. Add sauce to the bottom of the top buns and add tops to the sliders.
  • In the microwave, melt butter. Add sesame seeds and stir. Top sliders with buttery sesame seeds and place the sliders back in the oven for roughly 5 minutes.

Notes

  1. Be sure to blot the grease off of the beef before layering onto the slider buns; failure to do so will make the buns soggy.
  2. Using a food processor to make the sauce helps all of the ingredients to blend evenly; if you don't have a food processor, you could use a blender. Without either of those, you could simply stir the ingredients in a bowl. You will simply have some texture to the sauce from the sweet pickle relish.
