Ingredients

  • 1 English Cucumber diced into small pieces
  • ½ purple onion finely chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3 tbsp. Duke's Mayonnaise
  • 4-6 dashes hot sauce
  • kosher salt to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 2-3 drops green food coloring optional for color

Instructions

  • Remove seeds from cucumber; dice into small pieces. Dice onion into small bits.
  • Add cucumber, onion, cream cheese, Duke's Mayonnaise, hot sauce, kosher salt, and garlic powder into a bowl. Mix until well-combined. Taste and season additionally according to preference.
  • Add 2-3 drops of green food coloring for color, if desired; mix + stir. Add until the benedictine has reached your desired level of greenness.

Notes

  • Make sure to remove the seeds of the cucumber. This helps prevent the spread from becoming watery and maintains a better texture.
  • While the green food coloring is optional, it adds a nice visual touch to the spread. Start with a few drops and gradually add more until you achieve the desired shade of green.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It should stay fresh for several days, but the texture may become slightly softer over time.
