Pro Tips For Making This Recipe
- Ensure the bread cubes are generously coated with the egg mixture for a rich and custardy texture.
- Letting the casserole soak overnight in the refrigerator allows the flavors to meld and the bread to absorb the custard mixture fully.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert-like breakfast.

Okay, yum! You had me at praline. This was such a delicious, decadent breakfast that I'm going to plan on making for Christmas morning. Thanks for the great recipe!
Sonja says
This might be my new favourite way to make french toast! So much easier than dipping and frrying each slice, yet so perfectly custardy in the middle and crunchy on the top. And that praline topping! My god! I just wanted to eat it as a snack on its own. Oh wait, I can!
Amy says
Such a delicious recipe! Believe it of not but I had brioche and challah at home as my daughter works in a bakery and we get leftovers. Glad I could make good use out of it!

I’ve made this recipe several times for the group of young moms that I mentor. I’m going to make several batches today this morning and let it set all day so I can drop to friends and family during this cold snap in Wisconsin. Seems like everyone has some kind of flu or respiratory bug. This is warm and comforting and yummy while also being easy for me. I do toast off my brioche cubes in the oven at 200*F until they are dried out a bit. I think it keeps it from getting too soggy. I also have to leave the pecans out for one family due to allergies and it’s still delicious! Highly recommend for both breakfast and supper!
