It's important to not purchase pumpkin pie mix; you want 100% pure pumpkin puree for this recipe. I purchased mine at Aldi for under $1 in the baking section; that said, it is readily available at any supermarket!
The best part of this recipe is that it is a one bowl recipe. Less cleanup = happiness, am I right? I prefer to put all ingredients in my food processor, as I think it creates the most even consistency. That said, you can certainly use a spatula and a large bowl!
Yes! I like it dense - but if you want it fluffier, there's a simple fix: fold in some cool whip/whipped topping. It's a wonderful addition!

Ingredients, Shopping List
- Pumpkin puree: make sure to purchase 100% pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie mix.
- Cream cheese: choose the variety of your liking. I often use low-fat/Neufchatel.
- Cinnamon, Nutmeg: 1 tsp. each. Add more if you please!
- Vanilla extract: use good vanilla -- it really does make a difference!
- Powdered sugar: Also known as confectioners sugar.


Creamy Pumpkin Dip
Ingredients
- 1 c. pumpkin puree
- 8 oz. cream cheese room temperature
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- ½ c. powdered sugar
Instructions
- Ensure that cream cheese is room temperature. Add all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until smooth.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with apples, pretzels, and/or graham crackers.
