Italian Hoagie Dip

Hey, y'all. Another day, another dip -- dips are easy + fun to make and certainly one of the most common dishes that I post here on the blog. This Italian Hoagie Dip is a little untraditional - but, believe me when I say this: it is absolutely divine. I'd be embarrassed to tell you how quickly we finished the bowl after I made it. I know y'all are going to love it, too!

Frequently Asked Questions

What meats should I use for this Italian Hoagie Dip?

I recommend using pepperoni, salami, and ham; if you do not like one of these, substitute the cold cut meat of your choice.

How long will this dip last in the refrigerator?

I recommend eating this dip within a day, though it is best served almost immediately. A main ingredient is lettuce and the lettuce will get soggy if kept in the refrigerator too long.

What should I serve this with?

I think it serves best with sliced baguette/Italian bread or a salty chip, such as a Tostitos Scoop.

Italian Hoagie Dip: Tips and Tricks

  1. Use the ham and/or cold cut meats of your choice. Just keep the same total quantity for the correct balance!
  2. Do not make this recipe ahead of time, as the lettuce will get soggy.
  3. Buying pre-shredded iceberg lettuce is a great time saver. It's easy to just dump in a bowl + is nice and crisp!
