  • Ice Cream Maker

  • 2 c heavy cream
  • 2 c whole milk
  • 1.25 c sugar
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt
  • 1.5 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 6 Ale-8-One Cherry Sodas
  • Cherries for garnish
  • Whipped Cream for garnish

  • Combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir until sugar has completely dissolved.
  • Place mixture into an ice cream maker. You typically do not want to fill the ice cream maker full; please pay attention to the maker's instructions. Follow all instructions to churn. Freeze until use, again following the instructions of the manufacturer. Store in a freezer in an air-tight container.
  • Add ice cream to a tall glass of your choice. Top with Ale-8-One Cherry (or Cherry Zero), garnish with whipped cream and a cherry. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy!

The key to this recipe is to follow the instructions from the manufacturer of the ice cream maker. That said, if you want to skip this step, you can use a store-bought version.
