Hey, y'all! My best friend Katie and I recently drove from Louisville to St. Louis for a fun weekend chock-full of adventuring, relaxation, and - of course - food. So much food. Our home away from home in the city was the Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta. If you're looking for the perfect place to stay in St. Louis, Missouri -- look no further!

The Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta: St. Louis, Missouri
A few notes: 1) our room was the largest suite that I've ever stayed in, 2) the on-site food was incredible, and 3) I can say, with full confidence, that I would recommend the property for a getaway.

The Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta: Food
Breakfast at The Preston
The Preston offers two options for breakfast, a buffet and a separate menu. I'm more of a menu kind of guy and took advantage of all of the delicious offers. Katie and I shared a breakfast here on our last morning in St. Louis; to say that we went all out would be an understatement.

Blueberry Pancakes: pancakes, fresh blueberries, syrup, lemon curd.

No breakfast is complete without croissants, y'all.

The "Good Morning, Mr. Preston: A croissant sandwich with over-easy eggs, Havarti, arugula, dijonnaise, and bacon.

Oh, and nothing says breakfast more than a steak, right?
Brunch at the Chase Club
The interior of the Chase Club is extremely hip, metropolitan, and posh. It's exactly the time of atmosphere that you want to enjoy while having brunch with your girlfriends. And, y'all -- it was so, so good.

First things first: mimosas. Any good brunch needs a mimosa.

Bavarian Pretzels: IPA cheddar, beer mustard.

Fried Cheese Curds.
My favorite of the meal: Ahi Tuna Poke, complete with sweet soy, spicy mayo, seaweed, and wonton chips.

Eggs Benedict + the most dreamy, crunchy hash browns.

Dinner at the Preston
Our only dinner on the property was at the Preston, the same restaurant that we shared our last breakfast.
The highlight of the meal, hands down: the pretzel croissants. This is one of the items that they are famous for; with one bite, you'll see why. They serve honeycomb with the charcuterie board and I recommend ordering it to spread on the croissants. Katie and I might've had 2+ orders (we ordered one to start and then couldn't stop).

The evening started with an off-menu item: a rustic ceviche created by the chef. I was the first to try the dish and it was mouthwatering. I knew after this small plate that Katie and I were in for a treat.

Next came the Pretzel Croissants. Seeing this photo makes me want to immediately drive back to St. Louis and order them.

My second favorite dish of the meal = the Lobster Popovers: house-made quick bread, aged cheddar, lobster salad. Divine.

Oh, and on the note of lobster (my favorite food): The Lobster Bisque boasts coconut milk, lemongrass, and basil. You'll scrape your bowl, friends.

Oh, hello Dry-Aged Ribeye.

Chilean Sea Bass, another one of my favorites: brown butter, golden lentils, chard, and wasabi caviar.

And even though we were almost too full to walk back to the elevator, we had to have dessert. Katie wanted to try the "Chocolate and Caramel", which is a flourless chocolate cake with chocolate cremeux and caramel cream.
