Hey, y’all! Pimento cheese is my all-time favorite snack — and it’s my most popular recipe here on the blog! I receive questions from time to time requesting vegetarian/vegan recipes and/or vegetarian/vegan alternatives to my recipes. While I do not adhere to those dietary restrictions, I am excited to share my vegan pimento cheese recipe with y’all today! A modern, vegan take on a southern classic… I hope y’all enjoy!
Vegan Pimento Cheese
- Stand mixer
- 1 bag Dairy-Free Cheddar Cheese
- 1 bag Dairy-Free Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 c. vegan mayo
- 3 tbsp. Dijon mustard I use Grey Poupon, which is vegan
- 1 jar pimentos
- 2 tbsp. minced onion
- 2 tsp. black pepper
- Kosher salt to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
- Mix all ingredients together (I use my stand mixer) until well-combined and refrigerate. Serve on a croissant, with crackers, or on top of romaine lettuce!
While I do prefer my traditional pimento cheese recipe, I hope that this will prove to be a great substitute for y’all!
Y’all come back now, ya hear?
