The Sheet Pan Method

This method is my favorite because, well, it only involves one sheet pan! That makes cleanup as easy as possible, y’all. On a weekend, in preparation for a busy forthcoming week, I think we can all appreciate less time spent in the kitchen.

Do all of the ingredients cook for the same amount of time?

Traditionally, no — but, I have a trick: use thinly-sliced chicken and dice/chop the vegetables into small pieces (especially the sweet potatoes). This will make the cook time so much faster + uniform!

What BBQ sauce should I use?

Use your favorite high-quality BBQ sauce; I most often use Sweet Baby Ray’s!

What type of chicken should I use?

Choose your choice of breast or thighs. I most often use thinly-sliced, boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

How do you know when your chicken is done cooking?

Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165F. I recommend always using a meat thermometer!

About Dan-O’s

Dan-O’s is a Kentucky-made seasoning that is low sodium and full of flavor. The difference in sodium is significant: there’s only 50 mg per serving compared to most seasoning blends, which have 200 – 300 mg of sodium/serving. Also of note: the salt in Dan-O’s is all-natural, unrefined sea salt. It’s a pure salt that hasn’t been stripped of its nutrition or minerals.

The flavor profile of Dan-O’s is complex, as it is truly the perfect mixture of herbs and spices: rosemary, sage, parsley, citrus peel, and more. Try it once (and try it on everything) — and you’ll never go back! You can shop Dan-O’s here.
