Hey, y'all! Meal prep has been very important on my weight loss journey -- and the #1 food that I've relied on has been chicken. We often think of grilled chicken (or, to a Kentuckian, a non-fried chicken) in a boring fashion. That said, I'm here to tell you this: chicken does not have to be lackluster. In fact, it can be mouthwatering. I'm excited to share one of my favorite chicken recipes in my repertoire: my Oven-Roasted BBQ Chicken Recipe. I know this will become a part of your monthly rotation!

However, I'll confess: I almost hate to call this recipe. Because, well, it's just so darn easy!

Use your favorite high-quality BBQ sauce; I most often use Sweet Baby Ray's!
Choose your choice of breast or thighs. I most often use thinly-sliced, boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165F. I recommend always using a meat thermometer!
The key to this recipe is the seasoning. My seasoning of choice? Dan-O's, which is Kentucky Proud!

About Dan-O's
Dan-O's is a Kentucky-made seasoning that is low sodium and full of flavor. The difference in sodium is significant: there's only 50 mg per serving compared to most seasoning blends, which have 200 – 300 mg of sodium/serving. Also of note: the salt in Dan-O’s is all-natural, unrefined sea salt. It’s a pure salt that hasn’t been stripped of its nutrition or minerals.
The flavor profile of Dan-O's is complex, as it is truly the perfect mixture of herbs and spices: rosemary, sage, parsley, citrus peel, and more. Try it once (and try it on everything) -- and you'll never go back! You can shop Dan-O's here.
