Hey, y'all! I have pivoted in the last year to writing a lot regarding recipe development; that said, as those of you that have been here on the blog for years will know, my roots are in restaurant writing. It is my goal in 2021 to start featuring more local restaurants here in the blog in a casual manner, i.e.: where I've been dining, the dishes that I love, and more. As such, I am excited today to be featuring Naive, a wonderful restaurant in the Butchertown Neighborhood of Louisville, KY.

About Naive
Restaurant in Butchertown, Louisville, KY
1001 E Washington St, Louisville, KY 40206
Located just outside of Downtown Louisville, Naive is situated in the Butchertown Neighborhood near the NuLu Business District. At their corner of East Washington Street, you'll find west-coast inspired, vegetable-centric dishes with both meat options and healthy indulgences. Naive, above all else, strives to be local, healthy, and organic -- all qualities that I deeply respect.

*please note: they make it clear on their website that their dishes focus on a vegetarian lifestyle; that said, they have options to include carnivores, vegans, and all diets in between.
The Food: Naive, Louisville, KY
While there were many dishes that sparked my eye, I settled on ordering the Nashville Hot Cauliflower. The cauliflower features a cornmeal crust, vegan ranch, and house-made pickles. The entire dish is dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan. It was extremely flavorful and finger lickin' good, y'all. 10/10 recommend.

I'm excited to go back to Naive to try more of the dishes; if you've been, leave a comment or shoot me a DM telling me what you ordered!
