Hey, y’all! There is often the misconception that dining is limited in rural Kentucky – and as a rural Kentuckian, I say this: so many communities prove that assumption so very wrong! A great example of this is Glasgow, KY! I recently had the chance to eat at Kanha Kafe downtown, just a few doors down from the historic Plaza Theatre. I’ll spoil it for y’all now: the food was delicious!

Kanha Kafe: Glasgow, KY

Kanha Kafe is an Asian + American fusion restaurant. They offer American menu items if that is your preference; that said, I went to Kanha Kafe for Asian food, as Asian is my favorite cuisine. It did not disappoint!
I appreciated their vast array of cuisine + dishes, as there will genuinely be a dish for any diner.
What I Ordered: Kanha Kafe
We started with the homemade egg rolls, which are served with a sweet and sour sauce. They were crispy and so delicious! Other Asian appetizers that they offer include crab rangoons + pot stickers.

As for my main course, I ordered the meatball + beef combination pho. If you are unfamiliar with pho, it's one of my all-time favorite dishes. Pho is a Vietnamese soup dish most commonly consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat. The Nam Định people were the first to create traditional Vietnamese pho; now, pho is considered Vietnam's national dish.

Kanha Kafe's pho is a rice noodle soup that is served with cilantro, sprouts, basil, lime, and chili paste. Your protein choices include chicken, beef, meatballs, shrimp, or a combination.

Other delicious Asian offerings on the menu include stir-fried noodles, fried rice, pad thai, and loc lac.
