Hey, y'all! If you're no stranger to the blog, you know that I love dining at Swizzle - the swanky, top-floor restaurant at the historic Galt House Hotel. That said, did you know that Swizzle is one of the very few rotating restaurants in the United States? If you're looking for the best dinner views in Downtown Louisville, look no further than the signature restaurant of the Galt House.
Best Dinner Views In Downtown Louisville
How does Swizzle offer the best dinner views in Downtown Louisville? Well, for starters, being on the twenty-fifth floor doesn't hurt its case. At that height, you can truly see all of the beauty that Downtown Louisville has to offer. Couple that with being riverfront and you're in for the most beautiful, picturesque setting in the city.

Twin Revolving Floors
I mentioned earlier that Swizzle is one of the very few rotating restaurants in the United States. What I failed to share is that it takes rotation to the next level, as it has twin revolving floors. You won't find a dining experience exactly like this in all of the United States. The rotation is slow, so no need to worry about motion sickness; that said, it's ideal because it enables you to have every view possible of the city on your floor at least a couple of times/meal. That's my favorite part of the Swizzle experience!
My Most Recent Swizzle Experience
There's no better way to start than the 1910 Old Fashioned, which features Old Forester 1910 Bourbon, sugar, and bitters. The best part is the presentation, as it comes to your table in a smoking box.

When at Swizzle, I always like to start with the Maryland Style Crab Cake, which features the loveliest lump crab, homemade tartar sauce, and grilled lemon.

For my main entree, I decided to go with surf and turf: the 12 oz (!) filet mignon served with a lobster tail. To understate: heaven on earth.

Swizzle Is Now Offering Brunch
I am thrilled to share with y'all that Swizzle is now offering brunch on Sundays from 10-2! For one price, you get unlimited food (yes, you read that correctly). I'll be going this week and will be sure to report back to y'all with my thoughts. That said, the menu looks iconic: lox bagels, steak & eggs, crab cake benedict, buttermilk pancakes, buttermilk biscuits + sausage gravy, + chicken & waffles... just to name a few of the offerings.
About Swizzle
A proclaimed “retro-style supper club for the modern diner”, Swizzle hearkens back to a time when patrons could enjoy an enticing supper, fine cocktails, and good company whenever they wanted.
Swizzle serves up prime steaks, sustainable seafood, local produce, and head-spinning cocktails – all surrounded by the best river and city views in Louisville.
Swizzle boasts twin revolving floors (the only restaurant in the country to have two!), an open concept kitchen, and an expansive bar. Located on the 25th floor of the West Tower of the Historic Galt House Hotel, to be short: it’s an exemplary dining experience.

Y’all come back now, ya hear?
My best,
JC
