Pimento Cheese Sausage Balls

Hey, y’all – Happy Day 15 of Blogmas! Blogmas is a series that I am bringing to the blog this year (and hopefully in subsequent years) that will provide y’all with a new recipe every day of December through Christmas. How fun is that? Today I’m excited to be sharing my take on a holiday favorite: pimento cheese sausage balls.

If you’re like me, you love sausage balls — but, I often find that they are dry. Not these, y’all. You’re going to love them!

1 lb. pork sausage (I prefer to use hot sausage, but you can use mild if you’d like)

12 oz. pimento cheese (I use Palmetto)

1.5 c. Bisquick

1 block of cream cheese

10 dashes of hot sauce (I recommend Cholula)

1.5 tbsp. minced onion

  1. Preheat oven to 400F
  2. In a stand mixer, mix all ingredients together until uniformly combined.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and form the sausage mixture into balls of the same size. I think it’s best to use a small ice cream scoop to ensure consistency (and it’s easier!).
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until the sausage balls have reached your desired level of brownness.
  5. Enjoy!
