Brunch, for most, means one of two things: cocktails or delicious, decadent food. I’m not one to enforce limitations. Thus, I implore: why does it have to be one or the other? Can’t a cocktail boast decadent food accompaniments, too? Well, yes it can, y’all. Meet my Ultimate Bloody Mary Brunch Cocktail, which is made with Wheatley Vodka.
About Wheatley Vodka:
Wheatley Vodka – Award-Winning Craft Vodka elevates cocktails and food recipes. It is 10-times distilled, made from the same red winter wheat grain used in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon by Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley. He says it’s “Vodka the way vodka is meant to taste.”
Wheatley is crafted to have a distinct taste. And y’all, hear this: it. is. so. good. Plus, it’s made in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. What more could I want?

The Ultimate Bloody Mary Brunch Cocktail
JC’s note: Please realize that this is for a single-serving, standard-size Bloody Mary. It can be split into two smaller cocktails.
3 oz. Wheatley Vodka
6 oz. Tomato Juice
3 tsp. Horseradish
1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
3 dashes of Hot Sauce
3 dashes, Worcestershire Sauce
A liberal pinch of Black Pepper
A pinch of Celery Salt
2 tbsp. lime juice, for rim
1 tbsp. Old Bay seasoning, for rim
1 tbsp. Kosher salt, for rim
Ice, if preferred
1 Cooked Shrimp, for garnish
2 Pieces of Cooked Bacon, for garnish
1 Cut Piece of Celery Stalk, for garnish
Olives, if desired (I personally don’t enjoy them, but if you like them, they are the perfect addition)
- In a small bowl, mix together the Old Bay seasoning + kosher salt. Place the lime juice in a separate small bowl. Dip each glass into lime juice and then roll in the Old Bay + kosher salt mixture until rim is fully coated. Place a couple of cubes of ice in the glass and set aside.
- Add all ingredients into a shaker – Wheatley Vodka, tomato juice, horseradish, dijon mustard, hot sauce, worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and celery salt. Add ice and shake gently.
- Strain into prepared glass.
- Garnish with 1 cooked shrimp, 2 pieces of bacon, and 1 piece of celery. If desired, add olives.
Y’all come back now, ya hear?
