Being a country boy – even though I live in Louisville now – there’ll always be something special about a night out downtown. And since my youth, my favorite place to spend an evening out is at the Louisville Palace.
The Historic Louisville Palace, located on 4th, is everything a theater should be: refined, glamorous, classic, and chock-full of fantastic acts. I’ve seen many icons at the Palace – Bob Dylan is the first that comes to mind – and each show leaves me ready for the next one.
Well most recently, my friends, that “next show” was none other than the Queen: Diana Ross.
I’ve shared about the Premium Seating Experience before; and believe me, y’all — it’s the only way to go to a show!
The Premium Seating Experience is a program designed to maximize the experience of the guest. With it, you’ll receive unparalleled customer service and hospitality, a superior entertainment experience, and a fantastic night at the venue. That’s my promise to you.
When you attend a show and are a part of the Premium Seating Experience, you receive prime seat locations, exclusive amenities, a private entrance, dedicated restrooms, access to the Marquee Lounge, pre-show appetizers, a dedicated concierge, premium parking, and much more.
For the Diana Ross show, the pre-show food was comprised of shrimp and grits (delicious!) & a charcuterie board.
It’s also fabulous to have access to a designated bar!
After enjoying the pre-show amenities of the Premium Seating Experience, it was time to head to our seats. My dear friend Lori attended the show with me and we share the same review of the evening: it was iconic.
Diana is, to say the least, ethereal. I grew up listening to her music, have spent many hours jammin’ to I’m Comin’ Out, and have devoted far too many hours on YouTube watching her live performances.
Thanks to my friends at the Louisville Palace, I was able to experience the magic of her live show in person; and for that, I will forever be indebted.
Want to enjoy the Premium Seating Experience at an upcoming show at the Louisville Palace? You can find more information about the program here; aside from that, if you have specific questions and/or want to book a Premium Seating Experience at the Louisville Palace, send an email to:
As always: Happy Eating, Happy Traveling, and Happy Living! (and, in this case, happy listening!)
Y’all come back now, ya hear?
