Hey, y’all! Located in the Louisville Marriott Downtown, Porch Kitchen and Bar is an oasis of southern food and is not your typical hotel restaurant. At Porch, you’ll find elevated comfort food, classics, and southern flair on your plate; in your glass, you’ll find craft cocktails with great liquors, fresh herbs, and delectable profiles. It’s a wonderful dining experience in Downtown Louisville!
Porch Kitchen and Bar: Southern Food In Louisville
What We Ordered
You must start your meal with a cocktail. If you’re a bourbon aficionado, like many of us in Kentucky, you’ll love many of their signature drinks. That said, they have wonderful concoctions made from every denomination of liquor.
Porch Kitchen and Bar is famous for their Lump Crab Hush Puppies. An elevated classic, the addition of crab is – dare I say – genius.
The best thing that I tried at Porch Kitchen and Bar, hands down, was the Smoked Beef & Cheddar, which features chopped beef brisket, sharp cheddar, and spicy BBQ sauce. Simple, yet immensely delicious — as is the majority of southern food.
My favorite dessert was the Warm Butter Bourbon Cake, which had French vanilla ice cream and candied pecans.
