Socializing At Taziki’s

Hey, y’all!

I hope all of you have been well. Before I hop into my new post, I want to thank each and every reader of last week’s post. It was a heavy one — and the response that I received moved me to tears over and over again.

Food, to me, is a social experience. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. While I want the food to be well-sourced, well-prepared, and well-seasoned – I also want the atmosphere to be conducive to conversation. Plating can ruin a meal, as can ambiance.

I find good atmosphere hard to come by at times – especially in the fast-casual realm.

That’s where Taziki’s comes in: I love their food, I love how accommodating the staff is, and I love eating there with friends. It’s a warm space: easy, casual, and inviting.

I have – on many occasions- spent a few hours in there without even realizing. It also doesn’t hurt that they have Diet Coke (PTL, am I right?) — if the DC is flowin’, I am good to go for as long as I need to be.

I recently met up with my best friend Shelby to introduce her to the greatness. She had never tried their food (a true loss, y’all). To say she was pleased would be a hyperbolic understatement.

We split a bottle of wine, shared plenty of laughs, and left full as ticks!

Now — the food!

Chicken Feast with Taziki Sauce (the best!)

The special that night was the Chicken Portobello Sandwich. It was my first time having it — and I’m already craving it again!

If you go to Taziki’s without ordering hummus, you’re doing it wrong. Case closed.

Calling all lemon fanatics (like me!): you must get this soup! Chicken + herbs + the most delicious lemon broth. 10/10 recommend!

Be sure to visit Taziki’s at their two Louisville-area locations: Middletown (13317 Shelbyville Rd #105, Louisville, KY 40223) and St. Matthews (106 Fairfax Ave, Louisville, KY 40207) – and tell ’em that I sent ya!

As always, Happy Eating, Happy Traveling, Happy Living!

Y’all come back now, ya hear?

My best,

JC
