Hey, y’all!

Summertime for me means friends, social gatherings, and parties. While I enjoy cooking, I fully believe that one item should be store bought for ease of hosting. It should be high quality, however – which is why Godiva has my back when it comes to dessert!

I take a lot of inspiration from Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa. She taught me about the elegance in food simplicity. Do things – simple things – and do them well. When you can purchase store bought, if it’s good, do.

She is quoted saying, “You know, I think when you cook, there’s so much to do. You have to shop, you have to cook, you have to clean up, you have to set the table. There’s too much to do.” It is for this reason that I think store bought and homemade mesh very well together when done in a thoughtful, insightful way.

Summer 2018 is the #SummerofGodiva! My favorite treats are the chocolate covered macaroons. Talk about a delight! Check out my post on Instagram while you’re at it.

Be sure to visit your local store and check them, along with all of the other delicious offerings, out.

If you are in the Louisville area, visit the store at Mall St. Matthews; tell them that I sent ya!

As always, Happy Eating, Happy Traveling, Happy Living!

My best,

  1. I’m not a fan of macaroons but I do love some Godiva! Their chocolate covered strawberries are delicious.

  2. Hold on. I didn’t realize that they had these. I passed the store yesterday and didn’t go in… what a missed opportunity.
