I was recently given the opportunity to collaborate with Morels Cafe, one of the coolest restaurants in town – and I jumped at the opportunity! Not only do I live nearby, but it is a spot that I’ve been dying to try!
Morels is described as “dope vegan food” – and I couldn’t agree more. As stated by their website, “Morels Cafe is Louisville’s first destination for vegan food that doesn’t involve eggplant and tofu. We like to indulge in the finer foods, like Philly Cheesesteak Fries and of course, Farbys. We also offer amazing foods to be taken home in our deli, as well as a full line of Kentucky Kombucha on tap.”
Conveniently located on Baxter Avenue, diners are initially welcomed by an open, aesthetically pleasing space. With 100% vegan offerings such as “Not-Cho Bell Grande”, the “Farby” (faux Arby’s beef and cheddar), and the “Chick-Faux-Le”… there truly is an option for all cravings.
As a meat eater, hear me loud & clear — this place is amazing!
What I ordered:
Cheese Board (available Tuesday-Thursday, from 2-6 pm)
The famous Farby, of course!
Mac-And-Cheese with Bacon
… and a homemade pop-tart (SO GOOD!)
To the fabulous staff at Morels, thank you so much for having me!
Be sure to check them out 619 Baxter Avenue Louisville, KY 40204, (502)-409-5916. Tell ’em that I sent ya!
Hours: Tue-Thur 11-8, Fri-Sat 11-9, Sunday 11-7, closed on Monday.
As always, Happy Eating!
Y’all come back now, ya hear?
