Louisville Drinking | Meta

Hey, y’all! I am excited to bring the second installment in my series, Drinking Around Louisville, today.

It’s no secret that Louisvillians enjoy a nice drink (or three); it is thus my goal to highlight some of the spots that make the 502 worthy of a night out!

Meta is a downtown institution that specializes in craft and classic cocktails. Drinks are served in an upscale setting with vintage-inspired decor. To quote a Thrillst article, “Meta is a wonderful world of contrasts — a marble-barred, copper-penny-floored temple of swank drinking lodged next to a strip club.”

My favorite part of the Meta experience is that cocktails are served in vintage stemware. The bartender on duty that night told me that they constantly shop for pieces at antique stores and malls. That adds a facet of character that cannot go without note.

If you are in the market for a nice cocktail, be sure to give Meta a try! Tell them that I sent ya.

As always, Happy Eating!

Y’all come back now, ya hear?

My best,
